Disneyland!

We went to Disneyland yesterday with Sean's parents! Our So-Cal passes had been blacked out for the summer and we were finally able to go again! We had a really great time but MAN, was it HOT!!! Evan is getting older and it was so much fun to see his face...he absolutely LOVES the disney characters! Chip and Dale spotted him in his stroller from down the street and they ran up to him! There were a ton of people following them, but they came right over to Evan and started playing with him. He was SOOOOO excited! Their escort finally had to say "Chip and Dale, there are a lot of people over here waiting to see you!" It was too funny! Evan got spoiled!

We waited in line at Toontown so Evan could meet Mickey. He LOVED him!

We can't wait to take him back and walk around the park looking for all the characters! Who needs to go on rides when you can see this little guy's face get so excited! It definitely made our day!

11 Months and the Park!

I can't believe our little baby is turning 1 in less than a month!!! He now keeps us constantly on our toes...he just took his first steps today! With just a little more confidence, he'll be walking before we know it! He also just sprouted his top 2 teeth a few days ago! He doesn't like to let anyone look at them though...he screams and covers them with his top lip. Maybe I can get a picture of them when they grow in a little more! Here he is standing with his horse in our backyard...

I realized that I'm such a bad mom!!! I had never taken Evan to the park! Luckily, we just had a family party at the park so I decided it was definitely time to take him to the playground. He LOVED it! Here he is swinging for the first time! We will definitely be going to the park from now on!!!

New Discovery...

...BUSTED!!!

My sister Jill came and stayed with us for a few days and helped us out by introducing Evan to toilet paper. While she was here, she watched Evan for me while I ran a few errands. Apparently, she had to go to the bathroom while watching him and, instead of leaving him alone, she took him into the bathroom with her. She told me later that Evan happily helped her pull the paper off for her to use. And of course, he is now facinated with it! Looks like we will now have to keep all bathroom doors closed.

10 months and Bathtime!!!

Well, Evan is already 10 1/2 months and time is flying by! Our days are filled of constantly chasing after this little guy. Boy, is he QUICK!

Evan:

• loves to turbo crawl around the house
• has discovered how to push a walker (thanks to his girlfriend Ava's example!)
• talks to himself in his own language
• sleeps from 8pm to 9 or 9:30am...HALLELUJAH!!!
• still isn't very interested in the bottle. We're lucky if he drinks 15 ounces a day! Weaning might not be as hard as I thought ;-)
• loves to look at books by himself, but has ADD if I try to read to him! He gets all squirmy!
• would crawl off the side of the bed or couch if we let him. Maybe we should...to teach him a lesson! j/k! He thinks he's invincible!
• loves bean and cheese burritos! His favorite meal! Pasta is a close second...
• nods his head when he likes what he is eating! So funny!
• doesn't like to be held...he just wants to get down and crawl!
• hates to snuggle :-(
• is starting to get a little separation anxiety...dang!
• is a true momma's boy...sorry daddy!
