12 weeks and 5 days!

I went in for my real ultrasound on Friday March 28th. I was given the usual instructions to drink 40 oz. of water an hour before and I couldn't go to the bathroom until after the ultrasound! Yikes, was that uncomfortable! I thought I was going to explode! They did the ultrasound and I got to see the baby again...it was already twice as big as last week when we got our first quick look! Wow...babies grow fast! The tech took measurements and took some pics of the baby! The bad news was that I found out that my placenta is low which means that I have placenta previa. The lady said that this was pretty common and the placenta should move up as my uterus gets bigger. I hope all goes will with that so I can have a normal vaginal delivery instead of a C-Section. My next appointment with the doctor is scheduled for April 16th and I can't wait! Here are the pics from my ultrasound!

1st Doctors Appointment!

Sean and I went to the doctor for my first visit on March 20th. I found out that I was 11 weeks and one day. My due date is October 8th. The first lady came into the room and had me get dressed in the funny paper gown and asked me a bunch of questions. I haven’t had any morning sickness at all and I’m very grateful! Maybe it’s because my mom and my grandma both didn’t get it. I found out that I should keep exercising (with moderation of course) and that I can get a tan! Yeay! Then the second lady came in and gave me a full physical. She checked my uterus inside, and said that I had a deep uterus (don’t know if that’s good or bad). Then she put some jelly stuff on my tummy and turned on the heart rate microphone. She moved the microphone all around very slowly trying to find the heart beat. We were listening intently, but didn’t hear anything. She told us that it was going take awhile to find it. She tried for a few more minutes and still no luck. She said that our baby was being stubborn so they were going to have to take me into the other room to do a screen (an ultrasound!) I was so excited that I was going to be able to see my baby! We went in the room and I laid in the ultrasound chair. She put some of the cold jelly on my tummy and started moving the device around. She finally found the baby on the screen. It was so funny to see our baby…it was bouncing all around inside my uterus like a frog! We could literally see the 2 feet fly over the head as it was doing somersaults! I thought, “Oh great, our baby has ADD already!!!” Haha!

Pregnancy Tests!

This is the first pregnancy test I took on February 1st. I told Sean that a faint line still meant that we were pregnant. He still wasn't convinced...SO...

I took a second one.

Here is the 2nd Pregnancy test taken a few days later...the line is a little darker.








A few days later I took the 3rd and final Pregnancy test! Whoa!!! Look at how DARK this one is! Ummm...Honey...i think this means that we're for sure pregnant!
