7 months!

Evan turned 7 months last week and can now stay sitting up on his own! He loves to travel around the room, whether it be rolling from place to place, or scooting backwards. I left the room the other day and walked back in, only to find him missing. I frantically looked around the room before I noticed him hiding under his swing! He started out on the blue blanket by the TV and somehow got here!

One of his favorite daily activities is watching channel 301 Noggin. Whenever we turn to this channel, he'll immediately turn his head to watch with a huge smile on his face! It's nice because I can keep him occupied while I get things done around the house. Here he is watching one of his favorite shows...Blue's Clues!

He loves to do pushups!

He finally got sick for the first time...we can't believe it took 7 months for him to catch his first cold! He woke up last night coughing and really congested! He was crying in his crib and saying "Momma Momma" over and over! (He only says that when he's mad!) I felt so sorry for him! Poor little guy!

All I want for Easter...

Is my TWO FRONT TEETH!!!

They've arrived!!! Evan's first tooth popped up last week during our vacation to Yosemite and the second one popped up the next day! I think the exact day was April 7th...he was 6 1/2 months old. I think they've been hurting him because he has been waking up many times during the night crying...luckily we just give him his paci and he goes back to sleep. Tylenol has helped too...Poor guy! He's been biting and chomping on everything. Now Mommy's getting a bit nervous about breastfeeding...it might be time for the bottle. I've heard about painful horror stories...just hope I won't have one to tell! ;-)

Yosemite!

Last week we went camping in Yosemite! Sean was able to get a week off of work for a well-needed vacation. Sean's parent's were kind enough to let us camp with them in their motorhome. Sean had been before, but it was mine and Evan's first time and we all had a blast! Unfortunately the huge rainstorm that swept through the west decided to come the same week, but we were still able to see the majestic sights in between rain showers and clouds!

Half-Dome

Upper and Lower Falls

At the base of Lower Falls...it was really cold!

The famous Yosemite picture!

Beautiful scenery!

On a little hike towards Half-Dome...it was only 0.8 miles but straight uphill and such a great workout! Poor Sean had to carry Evan!

We saw the cutest little hat for Evan...We had to take a picture!

Fun with Daddy!

Hangin with Mommy in Nana and Papa's motorhome!

Bathtime! We gave Evan a bath in Nana's sink in the motorhome. It was the perfect size!

All clean!!!

On one of the days when it was really rainy, we went to a huge cave nearby called Moaning Cavern. It is the largest single cave on the west coast, tall and spacious enough inside to hold the Statue of Liberty! It is also an archaeological sight, where some of the oldest human remains known in America were discovered. The cave has long been the resting spot of the bodies of prehistoric people who fell into its opening. The bones were preserved by the mineral-rich water in the cave. Here is a picture of the inside of the cave that I got off of the internet (mine didn't turn out very well...)

We had to walk down 234 stairs to a depth of 165 feet below the ground! It was a really tight squeeze between rocks in the beginning!

Our whole group inside the cave

I guess Evan got a little bored...he fell asleep on our way out!

Hanging out by the campfire! Luckily, we were still able to have a couple campfires in between the rain!

I had to post this...Nice middle finger, Evan! Haha!

Yeay for vacations! I can't wait to go back and actually hike Half-Dome! That'll be next time!

Our Little Roly-Poly!

Our little guy isn't a lazy bum anymore! Today he rolled from his back to his tummy right before mommy's eyes! He's been rolling over from his tummy to his back for awhile now, but once he got on his back, he would just lay there and be happy. I'm glad that he's actually trying to move around now...except I can't leave him on raised surfaces anymore...he might roll off!!!

6 Month Check-up!

Yesterday, Evan had his 6 month check-up! I had taken him to his last 2 appointments by myself and watched him scream bloody murder! It was so sad! I told Sean that I wanted him to come to this appointment so Evan wouldn't hate only mommy for making him suffer. He got 3 shots and didn't cry nearly as much as the first two times! I guess he was trying to show daddy how tough he can really be! We were excited because the doctor said he was growing like a weed! His stats were as follows:

Weight: 15lbs 7oz...........................25%
Height: 25 1/2 in............................25%
Head Circ: 16 1/2 in.......................10%

He moved up into the 25th percentile! I guess he has a little head...He must take after his mommy because his daddy has a big head! Haha! We love our little (or should I say big) guy!
